    About

A metal bookmark inspired by hieroglyphs - the alphabet of ancient Egypt.

The hieroglyphic writing of ancient Egypt fascinated people for centuries until it was deciphered by Jean-François Champollion in the 19th century. This complex, picture-based script has formed the basis for this design.

Ideal as a small gift, the bookmark is supplied with historical information. Engraved on the reverse is the British Museum logo - a subtle indicator of its exclusivity.
