Exclusive to the British Museum; a sterling silver blue bangle inspired by the flora and fauna of India.

This bracelet is handmade using ancient inlay and metal working techniques, and features a colourful floral motif design around the bangle.

It is part of a range made by Zevar Jewellery that uses traditional Mughal colours such as blue, green and white which also dominate the art of Meenakari.

Meenakari is the art of colouring and ornamenting metal surfaces by fusing over it with a range of colours to create intricate designs.

    More about the brand

Zevar Jewellery is a London based company and the products are crafted in Jaipur, India.

Zevar works with a selected group of artisans in India to transform their designs into beautiful jewellery. Each piece is handmade and Zevar eschew mass manufacturing to keep their brand exclusive.

The art of decorating metal with enamelling, or meenakari, was introduced to India by the Mughals. Raja Man Singh of Amber brought meenakari to Rajasthan at the turn of the 16th century. Man Singh brought skilful craftsmen from the Mughal palace at Lahore and established them in Jaipur, which became the centre of Meenakari.
