  • These earrings have been inspired by the heart-shaped brooch which was found at the Fishpool Hoard. It is thought to have been deposited some time between winter 1463 and summer 1464, during a rebellion against the Yorkist king Edward IV (reigned 1460-83) on behalf of the Lancastrian Henry VI, in the first decade of the Wars of the Roses (1455-85).

The jewellery we have recreated remain faithful to the original design of the brooch, which was embellished with twisted bands set within a beaded border and alternately enamelled in blue and white.
