London Korean Film Festival 2017 screening: Candle Wave Feminists (시국페미)

Monday 30 October 2017, 14.00-15.30
BP Lecture Theatre
Free, booking essential

A screening of the short film Candle Wave Feminists (시국페미), made as part of an activist project which documents feminists’ protests in South Korea in 2016.

These candlelight rallies, taking place in Gwanghwamun Square, bring to light the defiance of feminist organisations who are daring to subvert society and retell women’s history.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Treasa O’Brien, Ania Ostrowska, and Director Kangyu Garam, moderated by Sophie Mayer.
