A sword-and-sandals epic set in Pompeii, based on the Edward Bulwer-Lytton novel. American bodybuilder Steve Reeves plays Glaucus, a Roman legionary intent on avenging his father’s death. Along the way he wrestles a crocodile, stabs a lion, and comes to the aid of a persecuted Christian community.
