More about the glassmaking process
Each hand-blown glass ornament is the collective work a number of Egyptian artisans using traditional skills. First, the glass blower who crafts the shape to the ornament. Second, the painter who meticulously etches the glass with decorative patterns. A third craftsman may then apply colouring to the bottle. After the colouring and hand painting process is completed, the bottles are put into a high-temperature oven to bake or set the colour onto the glass. This artisan process guarantees a one-of-a- kind ornament.
