This image of the Annunciation is reproduced from a window situated in the Epiphany Chapel of Winchester Cathedral and was made by the William Morris Company. This firm was at the forefront of the Arts and Crafts Movement in England in the 19th century. The window was completed in 1910 according to drawings left by Edward Burne-Jones, the artist associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Movement in the late 19th century. As chief designer for the William Morris Company, Burne-Jones was greatly involved in the rejuvenation of stained glass making in Victorian England.
