    This allegory of Hope is reproduced from a stained glass window in Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, which depicts the three Christian virtues - Faith, Hope and Charity. Designed by famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Burne-Jones, it was made by the William Morris Company in 1871. William Morris and his associates were at the forefront of the Arts and Crafts Movement in late 19th century Britain.
