A shabti figure inspired by ancient Egypt and the afterlife.

In ancient Egypt, shabti figures were 'dolls' placed in coffins with the deceased to help them pass into the afterlife. They were shown as mummified like the deceased, with their own coffin, and were inscribed with a spell to provide food for their master or mistress in the afterlife.

This shabti doll measures 21cm tall. It is specially available to accompany the exhibition, Ancient lives, new discoveries.
