    The British Museum online shop presents an exclusive range of bespoke jewellery, with each piece hand made and one of a kind. James Allen is a jewellery designer who works in semi-precious stones, crystals and glass to create completely unique items. No two works are the same and each work is a statement piece of high quality.

    His designs are inspired by the jewellery and clothes worn by women throughout Africa with strong emphasis on shapes, textures and colours. Many of the semi- precious stones featured in the pieces are sourced from Africa, where James helps to support individuals who have mined, cut and polished the stones. Working in this way he is able to pay fair prices to those he deals with helping individuals and their communities.
