Horse of Selene
£995.00
Originating from the East Pediment of the Parthenon, this sculpture dates from 447-432 BC and represents one of the horses from the Chariot of Selene, the goddess of the moon. Its appearance of exhaustion - drooping jaw and flaring nostrils - express its utter weariness after the night's work. This hand-made, full-size replica is available in plaster or resin. The plaster version is suitable for display indoors, and the resin replica could also create an interesting garden feature.
