Cat with earrings

Cat votive offerings were often enhanced with precious jewellery given by the Ancient Egyptians who hoped for blessings from the goddess Bastet. The original from which this replica is moulded dates from 600 BC. Hand-finished resin with 9ct gold earrings, 17 x 6 x 12cm.
