Exclusive to the British Museum: a keyring featuring a Lucky Cat design.
The Lucky Cat is a common Japanese figurine which is believed to bring good luck to the owner. The figurine depicts a cat (traditionally a calico Japanese Bobtail) beckoning with an upright paw, and is usually displayed at the entrance of shops, restaurants, pachinko parlours (amusement arcades) and other businesses.
The cat will usually have a gold bell around its neck and will be holding a gold coin. Here the gold coin is inscribed with 'I heart the British Museum' - a quirky take on the traditional symbol.
Ideal as a small gift for catlovers, the keyring has been designed exclusively for the British Museum.
