An insulated tumbler featuring a design inspired by the Books of the Dead from ancient Egypt.
The Books of the Dead were written on papyrus and originate from Hunefer, Egypt, c.1280 BC. The books were used to help the deceased pass through the dangers of the underworld and be 'reborn' into a new life. The British Museum holds probably the most extensive collection of the texts.
The books consist of a series of magical texts, or ‘spells’, which deal with different areas and events in the next world. The texts are often accompanied by pictures which illustrate the spells.
Inspired by the Books of the Dead, this tumbler features images and hieroglyphs from the papyrus and is ideal for keeping hot drinks warm and cold drinks cool.
