A floral pendant on a string of real pearls.
The necklace forms part of a Museum collection of real pearl jewellery. The range is designed by Caroline Haelterman of the Real Pearl Company, a British-based jewellers with a pearl farm in China.
This design is a floral pendant with a cubic zirconia centre. The pendant hangs from one strand of freshwater cultured pearls with a steel magnetic ball clasp.
Ideal as a gift, the necklace is supplied in a presentation box. Matching earrings are also available.
Pearls are soft and delicate because they are organic and produced by a living thing. However when well cared for, they will maintain their lustre for years. The best way to maintain their lustre is to wear the pearls often, and wipe them down with a soft cloth afterward- pearls absorb the oils from skin, which helps keep them moist. Pearls should be stored in a cloth pouch or jewellery bag, separated from other jewellery to prevent nicks or chipping. The pearls should not come in contact with cosmetics, hairspray, perfume, chlorinated water, or other harsh chemicals. To keep them clean, let them be the last item put on when dressing, and the first item taken off at the end of an evening.
