A ballpoint pen decorated with Celtic art.
Celtic art is the European decorative style that emerged from Ireland to Romania in 500 BC to AD 100. Inspired by nature, it is characterised by spirals, crosses and entwined plant motifs woven into knotwork patterns.
Inspired by these, this pen is engraved with Celtic crosses - a symbol that combines a cross with a ring around the middle. Although we know the symbol originated from Britain, the history of the Celtic cross is is rich in speculation: though traditionally crosses have been associated with Christianity, Celtic crosses were in evidence long before the Celtic people converted to Christianity in the fourth century.
The pen is made from stainless steel and is filled with black ink. Designed in Cornwall, England, it it made using the latest pen technology.
Ideal as a small gift idea, the pen is supplied in a gift box and is suitable for engraving.
