This beautiful French finish box is filled with all the writing instruments you could possibly think of; inks, styluses, nibs, seal wax, sealing tools, brass and wood seals.
Inspired by the writings of the 18th Century and its people's impressive mastery of elegant script & pose, this writing chest is filled with all the paraphernalia required to write an impressive document, which can then be sealed and stamped in wax. The design originates from the implements used to sign the historic Treaty of Trianon in 1920, the peace agreement that concluded the end of World War I.
Contained in a honey wood box lined with antique-patterned paper, this set contains: one glass and two wood styli, generous supply of various brass nibs, five assorted inks in rich colours - Flamingo, Forest Rain, Starlit Sky, Burnt Sienna and Pitch Black, a brass melting spoon, three beautifully turned wood and brass seals, a miniature travel burner to melt the wax and a sealing wax bar. The designs on the seals are as follows: 1. A leaping fish 2. A ship's anchor 3. A Fleur de Lys.
