If you are not entirely satisfied with your product (including books, replica items and other products but not etickets or Membership) we will be happy to exchange or refund it. Please contact Customer Services on 0800 085 0864 (if you are calling from outside the UK call +44 (0)20 7637 1292) to find out how to make an exchange or refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Prices on this website may vary from those in the British Museum shops. All items offered are subject to availability at the time of ordering. Please note that some products may be subject to specific terms and conditions. These will be written on the individual product page where applicable.

Terms and conditions for the Social Mother's day social media promotions. Our Social media promotional voucher codes are limited to one use per customer, are not valid with any other promotion and are dependant on stock availability. In buying this/these ticket(s) from the British Museum (“we” “us” “our”) you understand and agree that:
1. Your ticket(s) is/are valid only for the number of person(s), the date and the entry time slot stated on its/their face(s).
2. During your visit you must retain your ticket(s) safely for production on demand by our representative(s).
3. Your ticket(s) cannot be refunded or exchanged.
4. Your visit to the exhibition and the British Museum is at all times subject to any notice to visitors we post on our premises; the direction, supervision and guidance of our staff; and our Visitor Regulations a copy of which may be inspected on notices on the perimeter of the premises or on our website at:

We reserve the right at our discretion to alter our advertised arrangements for the exhibition, cancel any exhibition time slot and/or close the exhibition without notice; AND in any such event (a) we shall not be liable to you for any loss of business, revenue, profits, anticipated savings or goodwill (whether direct or indirect) or for any indirect, special or consequential loss of any kind and in each case howsoever arising, even if you have advised us of the possibility of same; and (b) our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you paid for your ticket(s).

7. We have the right, without liability to you, to refuse to allow you to enter the exhibition and/or escort you from our premises if you, in our judgment, breach any of these conditions.
8. This agreement is subject to the laws of England and Wales and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
