Ancient Egyptian Patterns silk tie (British Museum exclusive)

This bright and unusual tie features a design based on the shapes and imagery used in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.

The language of the ancient Egyptians used pictoral symbols to make up their alphabet, many of which were representations of animals or birds. Some of these traditional symbols have been turned into a colourful pattern on this tie, such as the eye of Ra and a scarab beetle.
