A Double Hunter pocket watch by Jean Pierre of Switzerland.
Beautifully designed, the pocket watch is a double hunter meaning it has a case that can be opened on both sides. The case opens to reveal an open front and back dial so that the 17 jewelled mechanical movements can be seen; it is fitted with the finest Swiss made mechanical and quartz movements for unparalleled timekeeping.
Plated in gold with a fully polished finish, the watch is supplied with a T bar Albert chain, pouchette and polished mahogany wooden box.
Pocket watches were the most common type of watch from the 17th to the 20th centuries, and were particularly popular in the Victorian era.
