Returns and FAQs:

This bracelet is handmade from pure silver and aquamarine gemstones, which are sourced from Afghanistan.

Its design is inspired by the traditional prayer beads (Tasbeh) used in Afghanistan since ancient times, and the contrasting silver bead symbolises the different shaped bead often included to help with counting. Engraved into the silver is the poetry of Hafez, a Persian poet widely admired in Afghanistan and the designer's own calligraphy.

This piece is part of a British Museum selection from the designer Sima Vaziry, an artisan jeweller based in London.

A beautiful bracelet crafted from pure silver and aquamarine gemstones sourced from Afghanistan.

Inspired by Tasbeh prayer beads, the pure silver ‘counting’ stone has been inscribed with lines from the Persian poet Hafez’s Lost Joseph in designer Sima Vaziry’s own calligraphy.

Translating from Latin as sea water, aquamarine is a light blue variety of beryl, and is one of the many gemstones that is mined in large quantities in Afghanistan’s mineral deposits. Aquamarine is the birthstone of the month of March.

A fabulous jewellery gift.
