This stylish scarf has been created from soft cashmere which has been spun at the Elgin Mill in Scotland.

The tartan pattern has an ancient history. Its earliest known origins in Scotland can be dated to the 3^rd or 4^th century when specific tartan colours and patterns would be associated with individual clans, and by the 18^th century it had become characteristic of highland dress.
