Nicky Butler?s range for Egypt: faith after the pharaohs is inspired by a collection of openwork early Byzantine pieces made from sapphire, pearl, gold and emerald. Egypt was under Byzantine rule for over six centuries and was influenced by the religion, language and culture of the wider Byzantine Empire.
