Egyptian Pharaoh Tote Bag

Exclusive to the British Museum, a tote bag inspired by a study of an ancient Egyptian wall painting.

The bag is part of a range accompanying the British Museum exhibition Hieroglyphs: unlocking ancient Egypt.

This tote bag is made in the UK from 100% cotton and is machine washable.

The design is inspired by a watercolour study by Henry Beechey (1788/9-1862), of an ancient Egyptian wall painting from the tomb of Pharaoh Sety (Seti) I. In the painting, the king is seen holding a sceptre before a table laden with bread. The design also highlights hieroglyphs found on the same wall.
