An illustration of boats on a lake by moonlight from the series Banmotsu ehon daizen zu (The Great Picture Book of Everything), c.1920s-40s, Katsushika Hokusai. The ink drawing depicts Ji Mo playing the sheng pipes while Zhang Zihe sails his houseboat. The inscription reads "According to Guo Yangfu, Ji Mo played the flute / and enjoyed himself on a moonlit night in a boat / Zhang Zihe of the Tang lived in a boat and called it 'floating home'".
