A unique greetings card featuring a graphic design inspired by the Bronze Age monument known as ‘Seahenge’.

This card forms part of a range accompanying the British Museum exhibition The world of Stonehenge.

The abstract image on this card is designed by archaeologist and artist Rose Ferraby, who has worked with the British Museum team on the Stonehenge exhibition. The greetings card and envelope are packaged in a compostable cellophane wrap. Rose Ferraby is an artist and archaeologist based in North Yorkshire. Her mixed media work often explores archaeological narratives, and our changing relationships with landscape.

‘Seahenge’ is the popular name given to the Bronze Age timber structure, also known as Holme I, which was excavated from a beach at Holme-next-the-Sea in Norfolk, England. Seahenge was comprised of oak tree trunks which were positioned in a circle to form an enclosed ring, which was likely used for ritual purposes. In order to preserve the monument, it was excavated in 1999 and later treated to prevent further damage to the wood.

A fabulous card celebrating an incredible prehistoric find.
