The scarf is made from 100% habotai silk. Its design is based on winding meander patterns that are typical across all forms of ancient Greek art including jewellery and painted pottery, as well as floor mosaics.
Lavish and ornate mosaics were commissioned in public and private buildings as a way to flaunt wealth and status.
