Aquamarine Hope Necklace
Designed exclusively for the British Museum, a beautiful bracelet crafted from pure silver and aquamarine gemstones sourced from Afghanistan.
Inspired by Tasbeh prayer beads, the pure silver 'counting' stone has been inscribed with lines from the Persian poet Hafez's Lost Joseph in designer Sima Vaziry’s own calligraphy.
Translating from Latin as sea water, aquamarine is a light blue variety of beryl, and is one of the many gemstones that is mined in large quantities in Afghanistan’s mineral deposits. Aquamarine is the birthstone of the month of March.
