Lapis Lazuli Silver Drop Earrings

A pair of ancient Egyptian-inspired drop earrings with deep blue lapis lazuli stones.

The earrings are part of a range accompanying the British Museum exhibition Hieroglyphs: unlocking ancient Egypt.

These earrings are made in the UK from sterling silver, and feature round beads of lapis held by intricate caps of silver.

Jewellery was worn by all Egyptians, although precious metals and stones would only have been affordable to the very wealthy, lapis lazuli being a favourite stone of Egypt’s richest.
