Medieval Cross Earrings
Exclusive to the British Museum, a pair of earrings inspired by a 15th century medieval cross.
These elegant earrings are made from 24 carat gold-plated brass, and set with purple cubic zirconia stones. The design is taken from an original pendant which formed part of the Fishpool Hoard. The cross was made sometime between 1401–1464, and featured a central ruby with floral engraving on one side, and four amethyst stones on the other. It was deposited between 1463–1464 and is now on display in the British Museum.
A beautiful gift inspired by a historic jewel.
