Middle Kingdom Turquoise and Lapis Lazuli Bracelets, Set of 3
A set of three beaded bracelets inspired by ancient Egyptian jewellery.
These bangles feature alternating beads of reconstituted turquoise and lapis lazuli, and gold-plated discs. The design has been based on an ancient Egyptian necklace from the 12th Dynasty of the Middle Kingdom, c.1878–1840 BC, which can be found in the British Museum’s collection.
In ancient Egypt, jewellery such as bangles and necklaces would have been worn by almost everybody, however gold and precious stones would have been affordable only to the very wealthy.
A stylish and unique gift for history lovers.
