A pair of hoop earrings inspired by Scythian gold penannular armlets.

These 24 carat gold-plated earrings feature a design inspired by 4th century BC armlets which can be seen on display in the British Museum. The armlets show dragons with long snouts, rows of teeth, triangular eyes and long interlocking tails.

Likely from western Siberia, the original armlets form part of the Oxus Treasure, the largest collection of 5th-4th century BC Achaemenid precious metal objects, which was found near the eastern edge of the Persian empire.

An inspiring and beautifully crafted gift.
