A replica of a porcelain vase with a design of plum fruits on a crackled ice background, based on an original antiquity from ancient China. The vase measures 27cm tall.

This is a copy of a Fencai porcelain vase, which is a common decorative porcelain vase from the Kangxi reign, Qing dynasty (17th century). It is decorated with an irregular design like the crackle of ice in red overglaze with plum blossoms and butterflies in red and green, putting together the most popular objects in nature among Chinese craftmakers of the time. On the base is a six-character reign mark in seal script in a blue underglaze.

The original piece is in the collection of the Shanghai Museum. This vase, made by Shanghai Museum Art Company, replicates the original using special craftsmanship techniques. Only one vase is available.
