Harris Tweed is the only fabric in the world governed by its own Act of Parliament. It is only made in Scotland on the Isle of Harris or the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides and is thicker than the softer Scottish tweeds. Like the other Scottish tweeds the colours are striking and within each tweed, upon close inspection, a rainbow of colours can be found. The combination of Liberty and orb-marked Harris Tweed fabrics on this scarf makes for a striking, fine-quality garment. <br> <br> This scarf is handmade by Helen Chatterton- a Liverpool-based artisan. These exquisite scarves are handmade by Liverpool-based artisan Helen Chatterton, using swathes of two of Britain’s most well-known fabrics. Each of the scarves that Helen creates are made using different colours and fabrics, guaranteeing that each is a one-of-a-kind piece.

Harris Tweed is the only fabric in the world governed by its own Act of Parliament, and is only produced on the Scottish Isles of Harris and Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Liberty of London is an internationally recognised designer of floral, paisley and patterned dress fabrics.
