A lead-free pewter pin badge in the shape of an owl, inspired by the Roman goddess Minerva.

Minerva was worshipped in ancient Roman times as the goddess of wisdom, justice, the arts and strategic warfare. The owl was a commonly associated symbol with Minerva, and through this, has come to represent wisdom. Minerva's ancient Greek counterpart was the goddess Athena, patron of the city of Athens, whose symbol was also the owl.

This pin is supplied on a pin with a clasp. The information card is full colour on the front and has historical information about Minverva, Roman mosaics and Roman coins on the reverse.
