A printed silk scarf inspired by the kabuki curtain created by artist Kawanabe Kyōsai (1831-1889).

n 1880, the audience at Tokyo’s new Shintomi theatre gasped in amazement when a 17m curtain was first drawn. It depicts the "Night Procession of the Hundred Demons" and features cleverly painted kabuki actors as actors as monsters and ghosts. 

The original curtain is on display at the British Museum’s exhibition Manga.
